Privacy Policy
No cookies, no accounts, no marketing list, no ad-tech. Here's exactly what the site does and doesn't collect.
What we collect
Two things, both minimal:
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We run first-party analytics on this same domain. It records aggregate pageviews, referrers, countries (derived from IP and then discarded), and browser/OS names. It does not use cookies, does not set any client-side identifiers, does not track you across sites, and does not share data with third parties. No consent banner is required because no personal data is stored.
- Standard server access logs. Our web server writes a line per request containing the IP address, timestamp, request path, HTTP status, user-agent string, and response size — the defaults every web server writes. We use these logs internally to separate human traffic from AI bots and crawlers, and to debug outages. Logs rotate and are retained for 30 days, then deleted.
What we don't collect
- No user accounts, logins, or profiles. The site has none.
- No newsletter, mailing list, or email signup form.
- No contact form. Inbound routes through LinkedIn (see contact) — that conversation lives on LinkedIn's platform under their privacy terms, not ours.
- No advertising, ad-tech, retargeting pixels, or third-party marketing tags.
- No affiliate links or referral-tracking parameters.
- No comments section, so no commenter data.
- No cookies of any kind — first-party or third-party.
Third parties that touch traffic
Traffic to this site terminates on servers at a commercial cloud hosting provider located in the United States, which handles network-level data as our infrastructure vendor under its own privacy terms. That's the only third party with visibility into raw request traffic. No CDN that MITMs traffic, no third-party font host, no embedded social-media widgets, no tag manager.
Your rights
Because we don't store personal data tied to you as an individual — no account, no email, no cookie identifier — there's generally nothing to request, export, or delete on our side. If you've messaged the editor on LinkedIn and want that conversation removed, the editor will delete the thread on LinkedIn on request. For server-log IP addresses within the 30-day retention window, reach out via the contact channel below and we'll purge matching log lines.
Children
This site is written for adults operating short-term rental businesses. It's not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — a new third-party processor, any widening of what's collected — we'll update the date below and note the change. The current version is always at https://propertymanagementstories.com/privacy/.
Contact
For privacy questions or log-deletion requests, message the editor on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/in/ivannikolov. Routing inbound through LinkedIn lets the editor see who's writing. See contact for everything else.
